This is my final contents page.

This is my final contentspage for my music magazine. I chose this as my final draft as i think it had the best image. The reason i think the image is effetive is because its only on one side of the page and its a different type of image, plus the colours are similar to the image on the front cover. The text is all on the right side on the page as the image is on the opposite.

This is my final front cover for my music magazine. The reason i have chosen this cover is because i think it's the most effective. The image relates with the masthead as it's taken from a low angle and the artist is sat on steps. This fits in with the masthead 'step up'. The artist is dressed in a hoodie to fit in with the genre (rap). The other articles are neatly alligned down the right hand side of the page. The reason for this is because i think it looks simple and professional. The title for the main article, is in the same font as the masthead to make it stand out as the most important article.

This is my second double page spread

This is my second double page spread for my music magazine. Its black and white to match the contents page. I have used the same layout and text as my first double page spread and changed the pictures and colours. The reasonfor the new image ive used first on the left hand side is because i think its effective as it shows the artists charisma and the reader will connect with her.

This is my second contents page. I have made it black and white as it gives a different effect than colour. I  have chosen my image because it fits in well with the genre of of my music magazine 'rap' due to the way the artist is dressed (in a hoodie). The reason i chose this image for my contents page is because the girl in the image is the girl in my main article.The text is on the left side of the page as the main image is on the right. In the image the artist's hand is positioned in a way which make it look like its pointing towards the text. The strip of images at the bottom of the page are to give a taster of what other stories are expected withing the magazine.

This is my second front cover.

This is my second front cover for my music magazine. I have experimented with different pictures, layout and colours. Therefore the main image is different as is the layout. I have faded the masthead and main article title for effect. The reason i placed other articles on one side (the right) is for simplicity. I want my magazine to be simple yet effective. My main image is of the same person because on all of my music magazine work i have used the same main article title. I Think my main image is effective as the model is pointing fowards and making direct eye contact to the camera, this makes you think she is looking at you.

My first double page spread.

This is my first double page spread for my music magazine. The reason i have placed a strip of pictures at the bottom of the right page is to show a series of photos of the artist. I have faded the title of the page for extra effect. The title it coloured red as it relates with the story 'Little Red, unlugged...'. I have tried to make the layout of the double page spread effective with multiple pictures and writing.

                  



First mock up contents page

This is my first mock up for my contents page of my music magazine. The background is white for simplicity. There are pictures down the left hand side of the page. The pictures are tasters of what some of the magazine pages may contain. The reason that they are in diagonal angles is to add a bit of sharpness to the page and make it look more attractive. There are two sections to the contents page, this is divided by the both of the titles.

This is my first mock up front cover for my music magazine 'Step Up'. The genre of my music magazine is rap. The reason i have chosen a close up image is to make the artist appear approachable to the target audience. The artist looks approachable, due to being young, fashionable, and she looks as though she is enjoying her music as shown my her facial expression and the way she is holding on to her headphones. I Have chosen the colour schemes red, white and black, this is to give the effect of simplicity. Therefore it the colours dont look too busy, the look bold and clear. Plus the colour reflects the main article title, 'Little Red, unlplugged...'

This is my third layout mock up for my school magazine. As well as slightly changing the layout i have changed the colours of the text to the colours i shall be using on my final draft. The reason i have chosen the colours, black, white and blue is because it's simple therefore it makes the magazine look more professional.
